I taught Shakespeare in our Junior High of Colegio San Agustin, Philippines for the past 15 years and we have made it a tradition for the students to celebrate a Shakespearean Festival sometime January February (April 23 falls during our summer break). This culminates 3 months of studying slected works of the Bard. During the culminating activity, students come to school in Elizabethan costumes, and showcase speeches or excerpts from Will’s plays in the mini theatre. This year, I hope to be able to conduct a Bard’s walk and street presentation. we had not been successful on street presentation last year.
It is always a memorable experience for our students.
